Project Manager Microbiology

OVERALL OBJECTIVE

Under the authority of the BU manager, and in close collaboration with the Integration Project Manager / Cluster General Manager and the different operational services of the BU, manages projects aiming at integrating and optimizing a newly acquired company in the Group network of laboratories.

 

SPECIFIC ASSIGNMENTS

Production project manager:

  • Implement target organization within the microbiology laboratory :
    • Define and implement, in close collaboration with business experts, the targeted relevant processes for production in microbiology
    • Define and implement KPI dashboard to monitor daily performance, in collaboration with IT teams. KPIs include productivity, working hours, and step-by-step TAT
    • Improve production staffing organization to achieve up to standards KPIs
  • Support the implementation of the Eurofins LIMS system (eLims):
    • Coordinate staff training within the microbiology and subcontracting departments, in close collaboration with the business experts
    • Implement the changes in operational processes linked with the system change
    • Provide support on the data migration and the ramp-up of the system in order to achieve a seamless migration for customers

Production transfer project manager:

  • Build and implement a project plan aiming at achieving the transfer of activities currently produced in a close-by laboratory within the newly acquired company :
    • Define target layout of all activities in the new lab
    • Elaborate a budget for the project and follow actual spends
    • Follow-up building works in order to implement new layout (including suppliers relationship)
    • Draw a transfer plan of all volumes ensuring no impact on customers
    • Coordinate customer relationship and communication linked to the transfer
    • Coordinate communication with institutional partners (public customers, Cofrac, etc.)
  • Define target organization for both (transferred and existing) activities :
    • Define target organization for production and support services for the transferred activities (organigram)
    • Define and implement transition plan and training program to ensure a smooth implementation of the targeted organization
    • Identify potential social impacts of the transfers

 

EVOLUTION

This first assignment allows a broad and deep understanding of the microbiology process, triggering the opportunity to evolve into an operational management position within a microbiology Business Unit.
